Every Easter long weekend, young Aussie-Finns travel across Australia to join in the Finnish Games festivities. When Saturday night of the games arrives and the traditional Finnish dinner dance is being hosted, they are left wondering where to hang out. This year in Brisbane, a new social event known as Club Finnmix welcomes the next generation of Aussie-Finns and their friends to celebrate together. Club Finnmix is an ‘all ages’ gig, featuring a fresh mix of Finnish music in pop, rock, dance and hip hop tracks.

The good news for teenagers is that they are invited to join Club Finnmix, with the only bad news being that all guests under eighteen years of age need to have a parent or guardian with them and are only able to stay until 10pm, due to licensing restrictions.

The event will be held in a private function room upstairs at the recently renovated Shafston Hotel, a short distance from the Finnish Games sporting fields in the East Brisbane area. Doors open at 7pm.

Tickets are $5 for guests under 18 year old and $10 for adults. The cover charge includes complimentary hot snack food served earlier in the night.
