"Don't know if Finland would love to have us or not, but most of the posts here are very positive so it looks that way. I hope so anyway :) Can't tell you too much about us, not yet anyway. Family in Finland would probably be embarrassed by this sort of public behaviour. That's the Australian coming out in me.
Who knows what the future holds? One day at a time is how I live. I love Finland and would love to settle down there. I'd love for my daughter to be able to grow up learning about her Father's country and culture and knowing her relatives there. Australia is a great place, we love it here, but Finland has so much more to offer. Better education, less crime, so close to so many other countries. Australia is very isolated in some ways by being so far away from Europe. The climates are opposite but that is a good thing. I don't like the heat in summer and love the four distinct seasons that Finland has. I love Finnish food, Finnish people and Finnish culture.
It's been very expensive traveling to and fro over the last ten years, and the time has come to make a decision about where we want to live for the rest of our lives. It's not easy. There are many things to be considered and the final decision wont be made lightly. This page is light and fun, yes, but it's also given me so much information. I'm a member on quite a few Finnish (for ex-pats) forums, pages etc, but in the last week I have been given more information than I have gotten from them in years. I'm quite overwhelmed by the heartwarming response.
I'd like to thank everyone for being so supportive and helping us to make our decision. I don't know if we've got anything to offer Finland, I hope we do. We certainly love the place."
Jos Suomessa kerran noin hienoa on kuten tuossa hehkutetaan, niin tänne vaan. Mihin sitä miljoonan ihmisen hyväksyntää enää tarvitaan?

No eipähän tuolla "miljoonan ihmisen hyväksynnällä" tietenkään ole mitään tekemistä perheen mahdollisen muuttopäätöksen kanssa. Kunhan huvikseen halusivat lukea ihmisten reaktioita. Ja rajaksi valittiin luku, joka ei tietenkään voi toteutua.
En tiedä onko täällä hienoa, mutta ainakin niin hienosti paistaa aurinko juuri sataneelle lumelle, että aurinkolaseja tarvitaan, aurinkovoidetta ei 8)

En tiedä onko täällä hienoa, mutta ainakin niin hienosti paistaa aurinko juuri sataneelle lumelle, että aurinkolaseja tarvitaan, aurinkovoidetta ei 8)
Joo tästä kannattaa ottaa kaikki irti, koska nuo päivät on vuoden aikana yhden käden sormilla laskettavissa ainakin täällä Helsingissä.

Ei tietenkään voi toteutua 8). Kun kirjoitan tätä, niin koossa on n. 7% tavoitteesta. Perhe näyttää viihtyvän nykyisellä asuinseudullaan, joka on kerrottu keskustelusivulla, ja noilla seuduilla pariinkin otteeseen käyneenä viihtyisin kyllä minäkin.Siellä suunnalla on muutakin hyvää kun Swan Valley'n erinomaiset viinit.
Oletan että perhe tietää jo tällä hetkellä missä maassa jatkossa asuvat, riippumatta Facebookista tulevista luvuista.
